Pre-op

Today was lots of additional tests. A sweet school parent was our nurse again, who led us around to each place and then did all the educating pieces. Nothing new except for a blood test that requires testing blood going out instead of going in that they have to dig deeper for. The lab tech missed on the first try, so that was a painful experience for Handy Man.
We were surprised and unhappy to learn that it could be twelve to twenty-four hours before I can stay with him.  I don't really understand that.
Lots of interesting things to do tomorrow. Handy Man has to swab his nose twice a day with something to help prevent MRSA.  He has to shower the night before and morning of with special soap.  I need to put clean sheets on the bed after tomorrow night's shower.
So, we keep making our lists and checking them twice.
Take out trash, fill animal containers, group potted plants for easy watering, charge the little fan, kindle, etc..
I will be coming and going, as will the kids and other family keeping the critters fed.
Just a word of advice.  Anytime you have a big hospital event, ask someone to bring you a little notebook.  Write down everything.  Today I had to know when each doctor saw him first, last, who prescribed what and on and on for some paperwork.  Thankfully, I learned this lesson with my previous experiences and had it all in a calendar.

Two more sleeps. Let's hope there is some sleep.
Thank you for your continued prayers.
