Unreal

We left Vegas at 5 am this morning. It wasn't quite as busy as I had expected.

We drove  to Zion. In Zion National Park you are in the canyon. You ooh and ahh at one thing, take a hairpin curve and there is something else sitting right in front of you. So much movement in theses rocks.  The rocks are so layered. It was fascinating.

Have to have the picture of the most important spot, half way through.

Though road signs assured they were present, we drove 5,000 miles before seeing our first and only bison.
Next was Bryce Canyon. What can you say about these sculpted rocks except, "Wow." We drove to the top, 9000 feet elevation. Unlike Zion, driving through, we drove around and gazed into the canyon.

I am kind of sad that these pictures don't give the thrill and feel of the place. It is a spiritual experience to behold God's creation. It is just so very big and beautiful.
We are now in a town called Tropic. Tropic?  In Utah?  Okay.  A little cabin, no woods. Dinner was good at Rambler's diner across the road.

  1. Loved this little cabin minus the ants! The canyons were so very beautiful, my favorite national parks. We oohed and aahed at every single turn. Our server at the Rambler was wonderful, wish I could remember name.
